The Hall sensor for the Optibeam Cannect connection relay enables the connection of the Optibeam Cannect connection relay to the wires of the can bus without breaking the insulation of the wires. The Hall sensor is clicked onto the bus wires, and the sensor reads bus data without an electrical connection to the wires of the car's can bus. In this way, interference or damage caused by incorrect connections is more reliably avoided, as well as possible warranty lapses in the case of new cars.
Connection instructions:
1. Disconnect the CAN HI (white) and CAN LO (blue) wires from the black connector of the controller. Instead, the wires from the CANNECT reader are inserted, i.e. CAN-HI (white) into the CAN-HI connection and CAN-LO (green) into the CAN-LO connection.
2. The Hall sensor's +5V power cable (red) is inserted into the controller's connection CR5V, and the ground wire (black) is inserted into the CR0V connection.
The IDs of the connections are marked as a diagram on the sticker on top of the controller.
